The Elves and the Shoemaker
from the Brothers Grimm story Dramatized by Leigh Conant and Chris Nelson (with Karen Hirst
and Jim Cunningham)
produced by special arrangement with CLIMB, Inc. set by Maria Evans

This show is perfect for children ages 3-5. Children become Emilio's troupe of sprightly elves, learn his magic formula for making shoes, and step in to save the day. Active participation, sequencing, and repetition make this show a delight for the youngest child's first theatre experience. Youth Stages' talented actors, Jim Folly and Jean Prall Rosolino, bring this classic to life with minimal costumes and set, allowing the children to see hundreds of shoes in their imaginations.
The Elves and the Shoemaker is performed, thrust-stage-style in an all-purpose or function room with the audience sitting on the floor on three sides.
